Simone Pin Productions is a west coast-based women of color owned production company, co-founded by Shadae Simone and Annya Pin. We are passionate about creating shows that include a diverse cast, and showcases the beauty, strength and sex appeal of performers of all shapes, sizes and ethnicities. We strongly believe in providing artists with a professional work environment where they can train, grow and feel valued. Our mission is to entertain and present our audience with an experience that is innovative, sexy and powerful.

We intentionally curate our productions so that the minute you step into the space, you enter another world. Our performances combine technical choreography and a tantalizing vocalist. We utilize elements of burlesque along with a variety of dance genres from modern to contemporary, to hip hop to enrich our audience experience.

We are inspired by our shared background as women of color and themes of female empowerment. Creatively intertwining these concepts, we produce thought provoking shows that push the envelope. We create, dance and captivate, and we invite you to get intimate in our world.

SHADAE SIMONE | Founding Creative Director

Shadae Simone is originally from the east coast where she began her dance journey training in Vaganova Ballet with Evgenia Singur and Bat Udval from The Russian State Ballet of Moscow. She has competed in nation wide dance competitions performing in a variety of styles such as Jazz, Hip Hop, Contemporary and Pointe. She then moved to the Big Apple where she was featured in Dance Spirit Magazine, Good Morning America and completed Broadway Dance Center’s Professional Semester program. In 2013, Shadae was accepted into The Edge Scholarship Program in Los Angeles, California to train with the top choreographers and teachers in the industry and thus began her commercial dance career.

Since then Shadae decided to relocate a third time to Seattle, Washington to take on the world of Burlesque. Shadae quickly became a crowd favorite at the Can Can Culinary Cabaret where she performed in six different burlesque productions. While actively performing at various venues in the city Shadae is currently giving back to the youth community twice a week by training and inspiring young dancers in the Poulsbo area.

You can also catch Shadae in her Adult Burlesque Heels class at Westlake Dance Center every Saturday. She has teamed up with business partner and dear friend Annya Pin to create Simone Pin Productions. Bringing you professionally produced and curated Technical Burlesque shows all year round. As the Founding Artistic Director, Shadae blends aspects of her technically trained background with her love of underground EDM & editorial costume aesthetic to create a theatrical dance production that is thought provoking and sexy with a modern twist.

ANNYA PIN | Founding Director of Operations

Annya Pin is originally from Indonesia and found a passion for performing since a young age. Her performances exude sex, sass and sultriness, and she blends elements of her performances with her eclectic dance background in traditional Javanese and Balinese dancing, West African, hip hop, cabaret and burlesque. She has danced with the Javanese ensemble in the University of Michigan, Balinese and African dance ensemble at the University of British Columbia, and Sign of the Times performance with Seattle’s Westlake Dance Center.

After moving to Seattle in 2012, Annya joined the Can Can Culinary Cabaret cast as part of the Heavenly Spies and performed in Zombie Cheerleaders, The Midnight Show, Kitty Kat Club and Diamonds. Besides the stage, you can also find Annya Pin in the music videos of local Seattle musicians including Prom Queen, Caela Bailey and The Pazific.

Her off-stage life includes advocating for racial equity in the public health and urban planning space, and Annya Pin is inspired in using the stage as a creative outlet to express themes she finds in her day-time career. Annya Pin brings her 10 year experience of working in non-profit and project management to her role in Simone Pin Productions. As a co-producer with her close friend and creative-business partner Shadae Simone, Annya Pin looks forward to exploring ways to mix burlesque with other genres and shaping a space for women of color and diverse body types to be celebrated.
